My Wellness Journey

My journey into wellness didn't start with a business. It started as a wife, mother, and caregiver searching for answers.

I'm a mother of four grown children and grandmother to seven beautiful granddaughters. As part of an Air Force family, I grew up living in Texas, Turkey, and Arizona. After marrying my husband Joe, who served 24 years in the Air Force, we continued the military lifestyle, living in Arizona, Japan, Alaska, and Germany while navigating deployments and the challenges that came with military life after 9/11.

Everything changed when our youngest daughter became suddenly and seriously ill. As she was transferred from one children's hospital to another, I found myself doing what many parents do when answers are hard to find—I started researching. I carried a large three-ring binder filled with test results, scans, medications, notes, and questions. I learned firsthand that healthcare professionals work incredibly hard, but medicine doesn't always have immediate answers. Sometimes patients and families have to become their own advocates.

That experience eventually led me into a career in healthcare administration, working with inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services before moving into the insurance side of healthcare. I believed I understood the system.

Then my mother became ill. Once again, I found myself managing hospital transfers, organizing records, researching, asking questions, and advocating for someone I loved. During that difficult season, I was fortunate to work from home so I could help my parents. But somewhere along the way, my own health began to suffer.

I focused on praying harder, eating better and supporting my body through holistic approaches, but I realized something deeper needed attention—my nervous system. For years I had been carrying stress, worry, responsibility, and caregiving. The challenge was that when I became the patient, I didn't have the energy to advocate for myself the way I had for everyone else.

At the same time, my husband was facing his own challenges after military service. Like many veterans, some of those struggles weren't always obvious. Moving to Lubbock, Texas in 2021 was a blessing because it allowed him better access to the care and support he deserved through the VA. Seeing that weight lifted from his shoulders was life-changing.

My own healing journey continued as I followed my faithfulness, both traditional and holistic wellness approaches. One day, I came across a video showing a stability test using SuperPatch technology. My curiosity took over, and I started researching. Like most wives, I ordered patches thinking they were primarily for my husband. The first patch we tried was REM. After the first night, Joe told me he felt like his nerves were finally relaxing. More importantly, we slept—and stayed asleep. For the first time in a long time, I saw a noticeable difference.

That moment is why I share SuperPatch today. Not because I believe it's a miracle or because it replaces medical care, but because I know what it's like to search for answers, carry the weight of caregiving, and want something that helps support your body's ability to function at its best.

If my years of advocating for my family taught me anything, it's that every person deserves options, information, and someone willing to listen.
